Chris Cortez is a guitarist, singer, producer, audio engineer, and videographer.  He grew up in the Orlando area and his career has taken him around the world.  As of February 2015, Chris and his wife Melody have returned to Central Florida to create this exciting new venture.

In 1986 Chris created the company Blue Bamboo Music, an independent, jazz record label, currently supporting a dozen artists.  They distribute over 50 music videos and 28 CD titles, and operate a full service audio and video recording studio along with Orlando’s newest concert venue Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts.  (

Chris is an “in demand” performer leading a trio featuring Walt Hubbard and Chuck Archard, and recently appeared in the orchestra for musical theater productions at the Abbey Theater (Bat Boy the musical) and at the Dr Phillips Center (Heathers the musical).

Chris’ song and CD Aunt Nasty (A funny, G-rated memory of a visit from a bawdy aunt, in his childhood) became the 3rd most requested CD on Sirius/XM in 2013, and his current release Top Secret has earned rave reviews worldwide.
